The purpose of this site is twofold. We want to:

1. Inform North Topsail property owners and vacationers of a permanent solution to the erosion problems of our beaches.

2. Enlist your support for this solution by asking you to contact our elected officials at the appropriate time to demand their action.

Many of you have probably heard of beach renourishment as a means to save our beaches. Beach renourishment is a euphemism for dredging. Dredging is extremely harmful to our environment, it is very expensive, and requires annual maintenance. Why does it require on-going maintenance? Because, quite simply, it doesn't work. Beach renourishment, like groins, jetties and other attempts at saving beaches fail because they attempt to battle the effects of nature. The forces of nature will always be greater. The information on this web site will show you how our beaches can rebuild themselves, safely, inexpensively and permanently by merely removing the damage done to them by man.
